Dominique Brooks had a double-double to lead Times No. 5 T.F. South to a 48-36 girls basketball win Thursday at the Bobby Bolton Classic at Richards.

Brooks had 10 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks. Dominique Joseph had 10 rebounds and four assists.

Megan Majors had 12 points and three steals. Kaila Doby had 11 points and three steals for the Rebels (1-0).

They will play at 6 p.m. today against Lincoln-Way East, a 51-50 winner over Curie.

Homewood-Flossmoor 65, Hillcrest 61: Charnelle Reed had 23 points to lead The Times No. 2 Vikings (2-0) past the Hawks.

Ashley Collins and Synde Johnson had 14 points each.


Boys bowling

T.F. South 1,985, Eisenhower 1,798: Jermaine Jones had a 248 and Jake Calominio a 235 to lead the Rebels to the win over the Cardinals.

Bremen 1,733, T.F. North 1,763: Carlton Galloway had a 192, but the Meteors fell to the Braves at Oak Forest Bowl.
