Scores of Regionites have pledged to "brave the shave" of a St. Baldrick's Foundation head shaving leading up to St. Patrick's Day, and we want to see your selfies.

St. Baldrick's is a nonprofit foundation, which raises proceeds to combat childhood cancer, one of the leading killers of children in the Region and nation. Participants solicit donations, with the payoff being their head shearing in solidarity with children who suffer from this disease.

If you've been raising money for St. Baldrick's childhood cancer research and are slated for a head shaving in a fundraising event this week, please photograph the occasion and email us your head-shaving selfies to letters@nwi.com.

Please include a short narrative, 150 word or less, regarding why you chose to "brave the shave." Also include your name, city/town of residence and the location of the Region event at which you shaved.

We'll include the photos and narratives in the March 26 Sunday Forum section if we receive enough of them. And we'll run all the photos in this gallery.
