Dyer Baptist Church will help to entertain community members with a special holiday show this weekend.

The production "Kings and Crowns and Conquerors," an original Christmas musical, will be presented at 7 p.m. Dec. 16 and 17 at the church, located at the corner of Calumet Avenue and 213th Street, Dyer.

Characters featured in the play include Anthony and Cleopatra, Nebuchadnezzar, King Tut, Herod the Great, Napoleon, Queen Victoria and Pilate. Even Elvis and other characters will make appearances in the musical.

The church choir, along with soloists and instrumentalists, will perform tunes from various time periods, including music from Handel to early Gaither compositions. Audience members also will have the opportunity to sing Christmas carols with the cast.

FYI: "Kings and Crowns and Conquerors" will be performed at 7 p.m. Dec. 16 and 17 at Dyer Baptist Church, corner of Calumet Avenue and 213th Street. Admission is free.
