It's not often audiences are treated to the Rodgers & Hammerstein musical version of "Cinderella."

That popular rendition of the "rags to riches" and "reaching an impossible dream" tale is currently lighting up the stage at Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire, Ill.

"Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella" is presented by The Marriott Theatre for Young Audiences through Dec. 31. It features a memorable, playful score by the legendary songwriting team and colorful costumes by Nancy Missimi.

Dara Cameron delivers a performance that's both charming and sweet as Cinderella while Brian Bohr stars as the Prince. Also featured in the cast are Chicagoland favorites Susan Moniz as the Fairy Godmother and Iris Lieberman as the Stepmother.

The giddy/goofy stepsisters are played by Kelley Abell and Ericka Mac while Stephanie Binetti is the Queen and Rob Rahn steps into the shoes of the King.

All ages can appreciate this production as the cast does a solid job performing the catchy tunes. Among highlighted songs in the show are "In My Own Little Corner," "Impossible; It's Possible!," "Ten Minutes Ago," and "Do I Love You Because You're Beautiful."

Showtimes for the musical are 10 a.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays with some performances scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Call for information. Ticket prices are $15. FYI: Call (847) 634-0200 or visit MarriottTheatre.com
