Paul Rodriguez and a group of his comedian friends brought their show to The Venue at Hammond's Horseshoe Casino on Oct. 4 and had audience members laughing for 90 minutes straight.
Billed as The Original Latin Kings of Comedy, the show also starred Alex Reymundo, Manny Maldonado, Joey Medina, Joey Villagomez and Jaime DeLeon.
DeLeon, of Chicago, opened the show and shared a collection of jokes with references to the Windy City. While Rodriguez was the comedy concert's host, he delivered a separate segment of his own material, which proved to be a favorite among audience members.
Rodriguez, who's also known for his appearances on television shows and movies, touched on a variety of subjects, including everything from his Mexican heritage to family life, raising children, getting older, doctor's visits and his son Paul Rodriguez III, a professional skateboarder who goes by the name of P-Rod.
The performers played to a sold-out crowd of fans. To learn more about Rodriguez, visit paulrodriguez.com.
