Publicist Dana Stein has been busy spreading the excitement about some big headline entertainment acts coming to the Horseshoe Casino stage The Venue in Hammond.

Here's what's in store for audiences.

Up first, at 8 p.m. April 27, it's Jason Alexander, best known for his role as George Costanza on America's beloved television show "Seinfeld." However, Jason is more than just a stellar and hilarious actor. He has directed numerous theatre performances in Los Angeles and won a Tony award for his role in the Broadway show, "Jerome Robbins' Broadway." Tickets start at $24.

Cheech and Chong aka Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong are together again and will welcome summer with one special performance at 8 p.m. June 15. The Grammy winning comedians have been taking the stage since the 1970s. Tickets start at $29.

Iconic rock band Bad Company are set for one concert show at 8 p.m. June 28. They have maintained international success since the 1970s. Although the band has welcomed new talent over the years, I'm told its classic hard rock sound has stayed the same. Tickets start at $39.50.

There just aren't many ventriloquists left in the business, but Jeff Dunham is one of the best. Not only has he been the star of his own Comedy Central show, but he's also appeared on "The Tonight Show," "The Late Show with David Letterman" and "Sonny with a Chance." I'm told audiences will not want to miss the top selling standup act in the country at this bound to be sold-out show. He's doing two performances, both at 8 p.m., on Sept. 6 and 7. Tickets start at $49.

Make a note that Ron White, the Grammy nominated singer who has sold more than 1 million DVDs of his comedy video "They Call Me Tater Salad" and his book was featured on The New York Times best seller list. He has appeared in numerous television shows and had cameos on movies such as "Sex and the City 2" and "Horrible Bosses." He has one show at 8 p.m. Sept. 14 and tickets start at $39.

I'm also told Dana Carvey, Dennis Miller and Jon Lovitz, all veterans from NBC's "Saturday Night Live" have also agreed to share the stage together for one legendary night of entertainment at The Venue. The date for the performance is still being finalized, so stay tuned.

The Horseshoe Casino is located at 777 Casino Center Dr. in Hammond. For tickets, call (219) 473-7000 or horseshoehammond.com.
