One of the closest races this year is for Best Supporting Actress, where it's a two-woman race between Jennifer Lawrence for "American Hustle" and Lupita Nyong'o for "12 Years a Slave." The two have split the awards leading up to the Oscars. Lawrence won Best Actress last year for "Silver Linings Playbook," and that could work against her as some voters may prefer to reward a deserving newcomer. Nyong'o probably has the edge.
