Best Actress: Jennifer Lawrence already was one of the hottest commodities in Hollywood before "Silver Linings Playbook" came out thanks to her Oscar-nominated breakout in "Winter's Bone" and her mega-roll in "The Hunger Games." Then "SLP" hit – and she was amazing. She soared to the front of the pack, and she looks like a safe bet to win the first of what could be many statues by the time her career is over. She'll get strong competition from Jessica Chastain in "Zero Dark Thirty," but considering the movie wasn't as well-received as everyone thought it would be, she'll lose some votes there.
