Best Picture — Silver Linings Playbook: If I have an emotional favorite this year that I'd love to see win Best Picture, "Silver Linings Playbook" is it. It pulled off a rarity with nominations for Picture, Director, Screenplay and all four acting categories. Heck, just to get nods in the "Big Five" is hard to do. The last time that happened was "Million Dollar Baby" in 2004. So to be certain, "SLP" hits on all the right cylinders. Unfortunately, of its eight nominations, it's possible to go home without a single award. Jennifer Lawrence is in a tight race for Best Actress, as is David O. Russell for Adapted Screenplay. Without wins from one of them, the movie could enter into a bit of infamy.
