For 39 years, the area’s most talented artisans have displayed and sold their contemporary crafts and fine arts during Hometown Festival Days in downtown Crown Point. Joint them as they return to the historic Courthouse Square for the first official weekend of Summer 2014!
This two-day event will bring together the latest trends in handcrafted arts, including jewelry, fashion, leather, home accessories functional and decorative pottery, glass, wood, metal, furnishings, fine art and photography. Enjoy the festive environment and leisurely stroll across the grounds of the Courthouse as you browse. You can shop for one-of-a-kind items, get some fresh new ideas and even ask the pros about something you’ve seen on Pinterest or Etsy.
Taste of the Region
While two days may not be enough time to try a little of everything being served up by the wonderful selection of restaurants and caterers at Taste of the Region, you can certainly hit all your favorites and try a few that just may be new to you. There’s a great a variety with choices ranging from a selection of pizzas and sandwiches to unique offerings from specialists in steak, bar-b-que, Mexican and Italian to Thai, Vietnamese and American cuisine with plenty of sweet treats and snacks to choose from as well.
Some of the area’s top chefs have been planning their menus since last year in anticipation of offering a few new surprises along with their most popular Taste of the Region fare. It’s a unique opportunity to discover some great new flavors and enjoy a diverse variety of affordable options for lunch and dinner.
