Fashions on Parade Gospel Style and "Unforgettable — A Tribute to Natalie Cole" will be presented Feb. 23 at The Glen Theatre, 20 W. Ridge Road in Gary.
The event will be held in recognition of Black History Month and in support of the African American Achievers Youth Corps, Inc. and Brothers Keeper.
The production will feature singers, instrumentalists and models.
Among models appearing as a part of Fashions on Parade will be Queen Toppin, Patricia Ballard, Juanita Nichols, Curley Nichols, Brandon Rudd and Bowen Heffner.
Among artists scheduled to perform are the United Male Chorus of Gary; the Calumet Region Praise Dancers; praise dancer, Tah’Je’ Johns Guy; piano soloists, Samuel De Miracle Coleman and Christopher Robinson; vocal soloists, Tamilla Calloway, Cecelia Tapp, and Cynthia Gee; and saxophone soloist, Everett Moore.
"Unforgettable — A Tribute to Natalie Cole" will feature saxophonist Ernie “Lady Sax” Shelby.
Brothers Keeper, 2020 Broadway, Gary, is a shelter for homeless men. The African American Achievers is a youth male mentoring group. The program is open to African-American boys, grades six-12.
