Election Day is right around the corner and the Capitol Steps are on fire.

The group has been entertaining audiences with their political humor since 1981. They'll perform at 8 p.m. Friday at the Center for Performing Arts at Governors State University in University Park.

The Capitol Steps current show "Liberal Shop of Horrors" will feature skits, songs and witty talk taken from newspaper headlines and the current political scene.

This satirical group has recorded a variety of albums through the years including "Springtime for Liberals," and "Papa's Got a Brand New Baghdad."

Tickets range from $15 to $44. A pre-show dinner at Scrementi's in Steger begins at 5:30 p.m. and costs $25. FYI: (708) 235-2222
