Romantic ballads and engaging dance numbers will take the spotlight in a special pre-Sweetest Day show Friday.
The Grammy-winning Stylistics along with local bands Together and Latin, Satin, Soul, will entertain region music lovers at 8 p.m. Friday at Halls of St. George, 905 E. Joliet St., Schererville.
Expect to hear some of the hit ballads from the 1970s as the Stylistics bring their signature harmonies to the stage performing tunes such as "Betcha By Golly, Wow," "You Are Everything," "You Make Me Feel Brand New," and "I'm Stone in Love With You."
Together and Latin, Satin, Soul will fill the air with covers of pop and Latin-inspired songs made popular through the decades. Doors open at 7 p.m. The show will be hosted by Herb Kent of V103 radio. Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
