R & B and hip-hop superstar singers from the '90s are set to entertain Region fans March 28 and 29 in Hammond.
Vocal group Boyz II Men and Grammy-winner Bobby Brown will roll out the hits at 8 p.m. March 28 while popular girl group TLC will take the stage for a rare Chicagoland performance at 8 p.m. March 29 at The Venue at Horseshoe Casino.
Boyz II Men, who've previously packed The Venue and recently toured as part of The Package Tour with New Kids on the Block and 98 Degrees, will entertain fans with their own brand of soulful and harmonious romantic tunes. The group features Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman and Wanya Morris. Fans can plan to hear all the emotional ballads including "End of the Road," "I'll Make Love to You," "A Song for Mama," "On Bended Knee," and more.
Along with Boyz II Men, the same bill will star Bobby Brown, ex-husband of Whitney Houston and one of the star attractions of '80s and '90s mega-selling boy band New Edition. New Edition, it's been said, was the front-runner to all of the major young male bands that came upon the scene later. They racked up chart-topping hits and all of the members of New Edition eventually went out on their own to become major solo acts or a part of popular groups, including Bell Biv Devoe.
Brown is sure to unleash his popular tunes on stage including "Every Little Step," "Don't Be Cruel, "Roni," and "My Prerogative."
TLC will grace the stage in the group's only Chicagoland appearance at 8 p.m. March 29 at The Venue.
TLC, which garnered a surplus of hits during the '90s and early 2000s, is now comprised of members Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas. (Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes died in a car accident in 2002).
Fans attending the TLC show will no doubt groove to the sounds of hits such as "Waterfalls," "Ain't 2 Proud to Beg," "Creep" and "No Scrubs."
Tickets for the Boyz II Men, Bobby Brown show March 28 are $63 to $80 and tickets for TLC's March 29 show range from $44 to $64. Visit horseshoehammond.com or ticketmaster.com
