Wang Chung, the 1980's English hitmakers, will bring their show to Hard Rock Cafe at Four Winds Casino on Aug. 1. Also on the bill will be The Fixx.

"We're very much looking forward to performing there. We love playing in America," said Nick Feldman, during a recent telephone interview from London.

Feldman and fellow Wang Chung member Jack Hues will be rolling out the hits during the Hard Rock show including celebratory anthem "Everybody Have Fun Tonight," which has become one of the favorites in the pop culture arena through the years.

"Our show will be a good journey through the past with new songs interspersed through the set," Feldman said.

The musician said they like watching the audience's response to their concerts.

"It's very enjoyable to see people enjoying themselves. It gives us energy," he said.

Wang Chung's latest album "Tazer Up!" was released at the end of last year and was well received by fans, Feldman said.

"There's a varied mix of styles on the album. And as a whole it has a nod to the past," he added.

The seeds or idea for the new album, Feldman said, came about a few years ago during the time he was working as an A & R (Artists and Repertoire man for Sony. He said with the latest album they wanted to test out some new material on fans.

Though Wang Chung had been out of the music spotlight for quite some years, Feldman still had his finger on the pulse of the industry.

"As an A & R man, it was my job to keep up to date on what was going on," he said.

For the last two years he was also a talent scout for the British version of "The Voice" where he judged pre-show rounds and "filtered down the thousands of applicants."

When looking for someone who's bound to be a successful artist, Feldman said, besides having vocal talent, it's important artists have a certain amount of "courage."

'It's a risky business," he said. "The great artists are the brave ones."
