Best Fine Dining Restaurant: Gamba Ristorante
Family-owned by Benito and Hilda Gamba, Gamba Ristorante pushes fine dining to its limits. Their classic Italian cuisine is served up in an atmosphere that's easy to get used to: the Gambas modeled their circular, copper-roofed building to resemble the upscale restaurants in exotic European locations.
With a wine room that can store 1,000 bottles and a banquet hall that holds 200 and looks out onto an open courtyard, it's also the perfect place for a celebration with bigger numbers.
Owner Benito Gamba recommends the risotto or the veal tenderloin (it's his favorite), and says that their pasta dishes are their forte-the foundation of their restaurant.
"We do offer a kind of cuisine that focuses more on original cooking," he says. "We always try to find recipes that fit the palate of a little more upscale diner."
