Asian restaurants in the Region star a rich melting pot of cuisines from Thai and Chinese to Japanese, Indian and other ethnic eateries.

Everyone from meat lovers, seafood fans, vegetarian and vegan recipe seekers and those with a penchant for spices will find something to like across the Asian culinary spectrum. The dishes are abundantly diverse while the flavors often prove prove rich and satisfying.

The eatery, located on the premises of Horseshoe Casino, stars Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean and other Asian dishes. Recipes on the menu include beef stew noodle soup, Teriyaki chicken wings, grilled lemon grass beef, cashew chicken, turnip cakes and fillet of fish congee.

House of India,  82 N. Main St., Schererville. (219) 322-3843. Various Indian specialties are featured at the restaurant including an assortment of vegetarian and vegan fare as well as palak paneer, pani puri and more.

If you'd like a bit of culinary theatrics with lunch or dinner, step into the House of Kobe. Teppanyaki-style cooking - cuisine done on a sizzling grill or hot plate - is the focus at this Japanese steakhouse. Visit Little Tokyo for a taste of the flavors of Japan. The eatery, which opened in 2004, features nearly 100 selections on the sushi menu including California rolls and king crab rolls. Tempura dishes, teriyaki recipes, udon and soba noodle dishes, and bento boxes are among menu selections.

The popular Chinese eatery features a variety of dishes including Mandarin and Szechwan specialties, seafood dishes, chop suey, chow mein, beef kow, pepper beef, hot and sour soup, lo mein, egg foo young and other selections.
