8:15 p.m. Nov.1, 8, 15 and 3 p.m. Nov. 2, 9 and 16 performed by the Marian Theatre Guild at the Marian Memorial Auditorium at St. John's Church, 1849 Lincoln Ave. (Use entrance on 119th Street). The S.S. American, sailing from New York to England, carries an unusual group of passengers. Included amongst them are a gangster, a wealthy debutante and her mother (Hope and Evangeline Harcourt), a nightclub singer, and a wealthy New York businessman and his stowaway assistant. Tickets are $12 adults, $10 students and seniors. Dinner and show package available on Saturdays for an additional $20, reservation required. Box office is open 7 to 9 p.m., Mondays through Fridays.

MURDER AT THE HOWARD JOHNSONS | Hammond

CHEATER DUMPLIN'S HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR | Hammond

Cheater Dumplin's written another show, a Halloween Spooktacular. Come in costume Oct. 31 and your family will get a $2 discount off the regular ticket price of $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. There will be songs, skits and fun for the whole family. The show is at Beatniks on Conkey, 418 Conkey St. Reservations can be made by phone or email. Refreshments are included. Doors open at 7, the show is at 8 p.m. tonight and at 3 p.m. on Sunday.

HALLOWEEN SHOW | Whiting

"SPELLBOUND! The Halloween Show II" is a Halloween musical set to popular music. It features George Rogers Clark students in full makeup and costumes dancing to songs like "Thriller" and "Beat It." Children and students are encouraged to come dressed in Halloween costumes and will receive a discount price. All children will receive a Halloween goodie bag after the show. Performances are at 6 p.m. Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 and 2 p.m. Nov. 2 in the George Rogers Clark Auditorium, 1921 Davis Ave. Ticket prices are $3 for students and senior citizens and $6 for adults.

THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE | Lansing

Illiana Christian High School will be presenting the fall play at 7 p.m. Nov. 6 and 7 and 2 p.m. Nov. 8 at Illiana Christian High School, 2261 Indiana Ave. This adaptation of the classic book will be directed especially for children and families, but is fun for people of all ages. On Nov. 8, in conjunction with the play, the Illiana Foundation will be hosting its annual RibFest from 4 to 7 p.m. This free-will donation dinner consists of ribs, chicken, and all the fixings. Tickets will be available from the school office.

CABARET | Chesterton
