Crown Point boys soccer team wins state championship

The Crown Point boys soccer team won another postseason game on penalty kicks to capture the first-ever Class 2A state championship.

Goalkeeper Christian Lomeli stopped two shots by Columbus North kickers in the PK round, the third-straight penalty kick win by the Bulldogs. C.P. won 1-0, with a 4-2 advantage on PKs.

It is the first soccer state title for Crown Point and the first year that the IHSAA has split the soccer postseason into two classes.
