Prepare to indulge in some decadent but flavorful foodstuffs as Portage brings Bacon Fest to the Region in two weeks.

Bacon Fest Portage will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Water Tower at Founders Square Park, Portage. There's free admission into the festival. A Foodie's Picnic

Courtright's Restaurant in Willow Spring, Ill., will present its second annual Picnic from 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 25 at the restaurant. Chef Jerome Bacle and owner Bill Courtright will share grilling secrets with attendees. Live music, raffles and more will also be featured. Cost is $55 for adults; $25 for children. Lobster Fest

Chamber Corn Roast
