The Taste of Duneland will be presented from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday at Thomas Park, Calumet and Broadway, in downtown Chesterton.
Food from local restaurants and organizations will star as well as live entertainment, children's activities and more. Among eateries and organizations presenting food offerings are Lucrezia's, Wagner's Ribs, Leroy's Hot Stuff, Lemon Tree, Taj Curry House, El Salto's, Hot Diggity Dawg, L.U.L.A.C., El Cantarito, Popolano's, Chesterton Lion's Club, Sage, Ben's Soft Pretzel, Kernels and Kones and Noah's Popcorn.

Three Floyds Brewing Co. of Munster and Sun King Brewing Co. in Indianpolis will partner to craft a new beer for the CANvitational event Sept. 28 in Indianapolis. The event is the first canned craft beer festival in the Midwest. More than 30 craft breweries will take part in the CANvitational. FYI: canvitational.com
Bears, Bus, Beer
O'Donovan's Pub and Restaurant, 2100 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago, will operate its bus to the Chicago Bears games once again. General manager Frankie Zela, a Calumet City native, recently announced the special bus/food events for the season.
A bus will leave O'Donovan's for Soldier Field 1 1/2 hours prior to game time for Bears games. Drink specials will be featured at the eatery on those days and after every home game, patrons can show their Bears game tickets and receive any appetizer or domestic beer pitcher for half price. Don Quijote Restaurant will present a dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 4 in the Popcorn Tent as part of Popcorn Fest week. Advance tickets are $12. The dinner will benefit Don Quijote Education Scholarship Fund. Guests may also purchase tickets at the door or at Don Quijote. FYI: donquijotevalpo.com
