T.J. Maloney's 8th annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration will be held March 14 through 17. Different themes will be featured each day and various activities will be held including a Bushmills Irish Whiskey Tasting, Sunday's St. Patrick's Day party and a midnight countdown on St. Patrick's Day Eve.
Various food specials will be spotlighted including corned beef and cabbage dinner buffets on March 15 and 16.
The St. Pat's Bash on March 16 will feature the corned beef and cabbage dinner buffet, performances by Mayer School of Irish Dancers, Lake County Pipes & Drum and New Element and an appearance by "Tom & Maggie O'Little" from "Those Funny Little People." The O'Littles will also appear on March 17. Cover charge for the bash is $10 for presale; $20 at the door.

Siam Marina closing delayed
Tammy Pham, chef owner of Siam Marina in Calumet City and Asparagus in Merrillville, has pushed the closing of her Calumet City Siam Marina Thai restaurant to the end of March. It was previously set to close at the end of February. Siam Marina Thai restaurant is in Calumet City's River Oaks Mall.
She plans to open Siam Marina in Tinley Park, Ill. in the future at 16846 S. Oak Park Ave. Opening date is yet to be determined. FYI: (708) 862-3438
St. Pat's Festivities
O'Donovan's Pub and Restaurant, 2100 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago, will have Week-long Festivities in honor of St. Patrick's Day. The fun begins March 13 and wraps up on March 17.
General manager Frankie Zela, a native of Calumet City, has planned a variety of special events and menu deals for the holiday.
Food specials include corned beef and cabbage, Reuben sandwiches, corned beef sandwiches, fish specials and Irish inspired drinks, such as the Irish Car Bomb, green beer, cider cocktails and more. A "Belly Buffer Breakfast Buffet" will take place March 16. FYI: (773) 478-2100
Corned Beef and Cabbage Meal
Before the Crown Point St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 17, guests can enjoy a traditional Corned Beef and Cabbage Meal from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Crown Point Fire Station. The parade will be at dusk along south Main Street. Tickets for the dinner are $10 for adults; $9 for senior citizens and a Kids Meal featuring a hot dog, chips, drink and a cookie is $4.
