World Cup specials at Sixth Street
Sixth Street, at Hammond's Horseshoe Casino, 777 Casino Center Drive, features a beer garden at the entrance to the bar, in celebration of World Cup festivities. Soccer-themed drink specials will be featured, including Midfield Margarita, which will be $5 on Sundays and anytime Mexico plays. The Bicycle Kick, which is a shot of El Jimador with a choice of Heineken, DosXX, Coors Light, Peroni or Corona, costs $5 every day during the World Cup. The semi-finals on July 8 and 9 and the Championship match on July 13 will be shown live in the Horseshoe's Venue. Specials at Sixth Street will run through July 13. Meatheads, a casual burger and sandwich eatery, recently opened its first Indiana location in Munster. The restaurant is located at 9140 Calumet Ave. Last week, the eatery began featuring "The Gouldon Burger," named after Chicago Bears kicker Robbie Gould and his charity The Goulden Touch.
The burger, which features a 1/3 pound Meatheads burger is topped with bacon, lettuce, tomato, ketchapolte and American cheese and will also be served with spicy Cajun fries.
