Still time to plan for Murder Mystery Dinner Series

The event "Murder Mystery at the Conga Club" will be held at Teibel's Restaurant, 1775 U.S. 41, in Schererville, beginning April 5 and running April 12, 19, 26, May 3, 17, 24, 26 and June 2. (April 5 and 12 are sold out).

Tickets are $49 for general admission and include soup, salad, rolls, chicken, mostaccioli, baked potato and choice of dessert. Cost is $59 for premium experience which includes soup, salad, rolls, chicken and lake perch, mostaccioli, baked potato and choice of dessert. Non-alcoholic beverages are included. Alcohol is available for purchase.  Performances begin at 6:30 p.m. when guests receive hand outs explaining the various parts of the show and information about characters. Gale Gand to visit After School Matters Class

Star pastry chef Gale Gand will lead a master class today for teens in the After School Matters Advanced Culinary Arts program at Bethlehem Lutheran Church on Chicago's East Side. Gand, founding pastry chef and a partner at Chicago's Tru restaurant, starred on the Food Network's popular "Sweet Dreams" show.

Special events at O'Donovan's

O'Donovan's Pub and Restaurant, 2100 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago, will offer 2013 Revenue Relief Specials. According to general manager Frankie Zela, who is a Calumet City native, among specials are the W2 Special (2 for 1 whiskey shooters); $5 Loopholes (Bacardi flavored combo martinis with Froot Loops garnish; and food specials such as the Recession Beater featuring 20 wings, Pabst Blue Ribbon draft and a bourbon shot for $7.50.
