ST. JUDE RESTAURANT EXTRAVAGANZA | Chicago
The Four Stars of Chicago Executive Committee hosts its annual Restaurant Extravaganza to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Since 1994 Fours Stars of Chicago has raised more than $4.5 million for St. Jude. Chicagoland's finest restaurants participate in this prestigious event, including Hugo's Frog Bar and Fish House, Maza Restaurant, McCormick & Schmick's, Volare, Wildfire and others. Cocktails and a silent auction are at 5:45 p.m and program and dinner at 6:45 p.m. May 20 at The Hilton Chicago Hotel Grand Ballroom, 2nd floor, 720 S. Michigan Ave. Cost for a Miracle Table is $25,000; Hope Table $10,000; Promise Table $5,000; Dream Table $3,500 (All are tables of 10.) Individual Tickets $350 each. Donations welcome.

GLUTEN FREE RECIPE CONTEST | National
The contest will begin on June 1 and end on Aug. 16. There is no limit to the number of entries each contestant can submit provided that all entries follow contest rules and requirements. Contestants can submit entries on the Pamela's Products website or mail in their entries. Entry forms will be available on the Pamela's Products website, pamelasproducts.com on June 1. Mailed entries can be sent to Pamela's Products, Recipe Contest, 200 Clara Ave., Ukiah CA 95482.
Recipes will be judged on overall originality, visual appeal, taste, how well the Pamela's Products brand product is utilized and how well the recipe connects with the story. Winners will be chosen by the Pamela's Products team on September 30, 2009. One Grand Prize winner will receive a $200 gift certificate to Sur La Table. Two Runners-Up will each receive a $100 gift certificates to Sur La Table.
