The Alzheimer's Association is sponsoring a four-part Alzheimer's education/community discussion series: April 8, Alzheimer's disease: What You Need to Know; May 13, Making Life Decisions, about the financial and legal issues that can arise, presented by elder law attorney Bill Green; June 10, Caring for the Caregiver; and July 8, Maintain Your Brain. All sessions will take place 6 to 8 p.m. at the Valparaiso Public Library, 103 Jefferson St., Valparaiso. The public is invited to these free programs. Pre-registration is requested. Maintain Your brain is about living a brain-healthy lifestyle. The event begins at 2 p.m. April 7 at Miller's Senior Living Community, 5911 Lute Road. This workshop, presented by Louise Thompson of the Alzheimer's Association, will cover specific things you can do to maintain your brain.
