When it comes to giving customers what they want, Providence Real Estate Development starts with great neighborhoods in Crown Point, Winfield and Lowell.

Then, they work closely with each and every new homebuyer to ensure they get what they want – customizing their homes and offering great promotions that add real value. Right now, Providence is including FREE Whirlpool kitchen appliances and hardwood floors for a limited time (restrictions apply).

Plus, they are constantly adding new plans based on the feedback they receive from customers, and right now they are rolling out NEW RANCH PLANS in every community.

“Providence is very customer-friendly,” Carol Biel of Century 21 Executive Realty in Schererville, said. “They are always very open and responsive depending on the situation. Whether it’s making changes to customize a home in order to meet a buyer’s specific needs or working with clients who have home-to-sell contingencies or those with credit contingencies.”

Committed to ongoing, long-term relationships with their homebuyers, the Providence team not only delivers great quality at an exceptional value, but also provides unmatched customer service.

“My now husband and I were looking to build or buy at the beginning of last year,” Melissa Pineda said. “To be quite honest, we started looking pre-existing homes with Carol Biel because we thought we couldn’t afford to build a home with all the things we were looking for in a home. But, after looking at maybe 9-10 different houses, we found our expectations were a little high for what we were seeing in our price range. That’s when Carol introduced us to The Regency and showed us how we could start from scratch – build a new home that would truly be ours – for about the same price of the houses we had looked at.”

Hoping to live in Crown Point, Melissa and her then fiancé Guillermo loved the location near I-65, adjacent to Youche Country Club and Crown Point High School with the Lake County Fairgrounds, St. Anthony Medical Center, the YMCA, historic downtown and grocery stores all just minutes away.

“Since this was a first home for us, we had a set price range, and we were surprised to find a builder with such an impressive variety of affordable new homes in the prefect area for us,” Melissa added. “When you’re a young couple you have that illusion that it’s not attainable to build a new home of your own. We certainly thought that in the beginning. We had been working for just a couple of years and were just getting married. It was rather shocking to a lot of people, our friends and family, when we told them.”

When Melissa and Guillermo made the decision to build their new home with Providence in The Regency, they chose the Wexford, the company’s brand new model and sales selection center.

“Everything worked out really well for us, we were very happy with the good quality of a Providence-built home, the square footage cost and, most importantly, the timeliness. With our wedding coming up, the one thing that worried us was being able to move in on time. We wanted to be in by October 4th, and they were able to not only meet our expectations, but beat it by more than a full month,” Melissa said.

“Carol gave us the name of their preferred lender, Dave Polarek at Guaranteed Rate. Since we’re young and it’s our first house, we didn’t know a lot about the mortgage world, and to be honest, since it was a referred person, we were somewhat iffy off the bat. But, Dave is very knowledgeable. He explained everything very well – he was never impatient with our questions and always very reassuring. He made us feel very comfortable with everything along the way.”

When the time came for the Pinedas to sign their contract, they had just one reservation. Providence was planning to introduce a new 2-story single-family plan that sounded even more perfect for them than the Wexford – but, until they had a chance to see it, they couldn’t be sure.

“That’s when we put our heads together and wrote the contract so they would still qualify for the promotion set to expire, while having a window of opportunity to change the plan once the Jasmine was officially introduced a few weeks later,” Carol Biel explained. “Providence appreciates that each situation is unique and goes that extra mile to accommodate their customers.”

“When we saw the plan, we knew immediately that it was perfect for us. Even so, it was a big risk since we were able to walk through the Wexford and could only see the Jasmine on a piece of paper,” Melissa explained. “But Providence made it effortless to make the change, and we were just so anxious to see it come to life. In the end, it’s even better than it looked on paper. I’m so happy we had the opportunity to do it – I love this floor plan!”

With Melissa’s parents checking up on the progress of their new home almost daily (she said her mother actually knows the crew on a first name basis), they had just one question.

“When they were framing the house, my parents were surprised that it was going to be such a big house,” she said. “They wanted to know how we were able to do this, and I said, ‘It’s the American dream. If more people know about builders like Providence, they would be building a better home for their family too.’”
