As the real estate market continues to reinvigorate itself this spring, St. John's Rossi & Taylor Realty Group announced plans to add additional office space a full 2 years ahead of plan as part of the their first anniversary celebration that included a cookout for clients, family and friends last weekend.

"Everyone's been really busy this spring, but, as a group, we thought it was important to take some time out and celebrate our anniversary," broker/owner Brian Rossi who runs the company along with partner William Taylor, Jr, said. "We are also excited to share our plans for the office. We've been talking to (building manager) K&D Development about moving up our plans for expansion. Originally it was more of a ‘3-year' plan, but anticipate having the extra space complete by fall."

Now home to 15 real estate professionals, Rossi & Taylor recently added a dedicated mentor/teacher, and Rhonda DeHaan has already hit the ground running.

"This is a new program for us," Rossi said. "Moving forward, as the office continues to grow and change, our number one priority will continue to be keeping agents happy and productive. We're extremely fortunate to have a former leading agent and multi-million dollar producer who is completely devoted to teaching on the Rossi & Taylor team."

"I was able to get a similar program up and running at another brokerage, and we had a great deal of success with it," DeHaan, who has been exclusively training and mentoring agents for 3 years, said. "Since real estate's not the kind of job where you punch a clock, things like time management are crucial. I've found that all agents, regardless of experience level, benefit when training is offered to an entire office. It brings more to the table, and everyone walks out with something of value when information is shared within the group. Then, at the same time, one-on-one mentoring is a great way to come up with an individualized plan when it comes to identifying and achieving individual career objectives."

That's exactly why Rossi & Taylors' newest agent, 30-year real estate veteran Harold Couture. hasn't missed a training session yet.

"I still appreciate the training, there's always something new to learn in this business," Couture, who is licensed in both Illinois and Indiana, said. "I recently bought a home in Indiana so I started looking at a long list of franchises and independents along the state line. I've been with franchises in the past, but when it came down to it, I relied on a few personal references who agreed that Brian Rossi was a real up and comer. Taking on a new venture like this took a lot of courage, and I think Brian and Bill are doing a great job!"

Committed to providing the support new and seasoned agents such as Couture all need when it comes to helping clients achieve their goals, Rossi & Taylor puts the very latest technology in their agents' hands - including iPads to increase efficiency on the go, flat panel displays for the best possible visual presentations and a dedicated multi-user computer work station to organize paperwork in the office. Additional training is also available to maximize the effectiveness of these high-tech tools.

Then, when it comes to serving the needs of listing clients, Rossi & Taylor agents benefit from a solid, long-term investment in advertising. .

Relying on the combination of time-tested, winning strategies from the old-school approach to real estate plus emerging technologies and a positive attitude, Rossi & Taylor's innovative listing strategy starts with a simple, yet informative and easy-to-navigate website, regularly scheduled newspaper advertisements and an ever-growing web presence with strategically placed pop-up ads on Trulia and a new Google partnership through Dex One.

"We are committed to advertising," Rossi said. "While others are cutting back, we are moving forward and constantly searching for new opportunities. From a listing standpoint, Rossi & Taylor guarantees an excellent presence."

You'll find one of Rossi & Taylor's latest innovations - Premier Property signs featuring color photographs - now in use.

"The new sign is awesome," Alan Bowley who recently chose to list his home with Rossi & Taylor, said. "Nice job! I have seen several people stop and look at it. The pictures you all selected are perfect. They make me want to buy the house."

Agents and clients alike, especially those who stop in to inquire about a property that's for sale in the area, appreciate the highly-experienced professionals who keep everything running smoothly in the Rossi & Taylor office.

"When you are attracting new agents, new listings and closing deals for clients, there's always something going on in the office," Crystal Henning, who has been with Rossi & Taylor since the very beginning as executive coordinator/processor and brings over 11 years of real estate office experience to the team, said.

Becky Miecznikowski, a licensed assistant who was 8 years of real estate office experience with many of those in a large corporate environment, joins Henning at the Rossi & Taylor front desk.

"The overall atmosphere is probably the biggest difference, everyone here is friendly and helpful," she said.

Following their successful debut in the local real estate market last year, Rossi & Taylor is not just setting, but achieving the "Gold Standard" they promise.

"We are so pleased to learn that we're nominated for the Times and Shore ‘Best of the Region' in the Best Residential Real Estate Company category after being in business for just 12 months," Rossi, who is also nominated as a Best Real Estate Agent (NWI), said. "This is especially significant when you look at the other contenders -- major national firms and some long-established independents that have been around 20+ years."
