As the real estate market continues to reinvigorate itself this spring, St. John's Rossi & Taylor Realty Group announced plans to add additional office space a full 2 years ahead of plan as part of the their first anniversary celebration that included a cookout for clients, family and friends last weekend.
"Everyone's been really busy this spring, but, as a group, we thought it was important to take some time out and celebrate our anniversary," broker/owner Brian Rossi who runs the company along with partner William Taylor, Jr, said. "We are also excited to share our plans for the office. We've been talking to (building manager) K&D Development about moving up our plans for expansion. Originally it was more of a ‘3-year' plan, but anticipate having the extra space complete by fall."
Now home to 15 real estate professionals, Rossi & Taylor recently added a dedicated mentor/teacher, and Rhonda DeHaan has already hit the ground running.
"This is a new program for us," Rossi said. "Moving forward, as the office continues to grow and change, our number one priority will continue to be keeping agents happy and productive. We're extremely fortunate to have a former leading agent and multi-million dollar producer who is completely devoted to teaching on the Rossi & Taylor team."
"I was able to get a similar program up and running at another brokerage, and we had a great deal of success with it," DeHaan, who has been exclusively training and mentoring agents for 3 years, said. "Since real estate's not the kind of job where you punch a clock, things like time management are crucial. I've found that all agents, regardless of experience level, benefit when training is offered to an entire office. It brings more to the table, and everyone walks out with something of value when information is shared within the group. Then, at the same time, one-on-one mentoring is a great way to come up with an individualized plan when it comes to identifying and achieving individual career objectives."

"I still appreciate the training, there's always something new to learn in this business," Couture, who is licensed in both Illinois and Indiana, said. I've been with franchises in the past, but when it came down to it, I relied on a few personal references who agreed that Brian Rossi was a real up and comer. Taking on a new venture like this took a lot of courage, and I think Brian and Bill are doing a great job!"
