The National Animal Welfare Society Clinic will host its monthly spay/neuter transport day Tuesday. The N.A.W.S clinic offers low-cost vet care to area residents. If the animal is not current, vaccines are offered for $10. Dog spays are $65 and dog neuters are $60. Cat spays are $40 and neuters are $35.

SENIOR PROGRAM | Region
The Independent Cat Society has a program geared toward matching senior citizens with senior or special needs cats at no cost to the senior. A older or special needs cat yearns for a warm lap and a human to cuddle up with, but sadly many never have that chance. The IC will be responsible for all cost associated with veterinary care and transportation to and from the vet as needed. A Purrfect Partner counselor will come to the seniors home once a month to trim the cat's nails and do a health check. Counselors will also be available by telephone if there are any problems or questions.
