Every year the Chevy dealerships of Northwest Indiana give their beloved customers a chance to win a Chevy Cruze. But this year they're doing more—each of the eight dealerships will draw a lucky winner to receive two Chicago Blackhawks tickets. The drawings will take place one at a time for the next eight weeks.

The first dealership to draw a winner was Smith Chevy in Hammond; David Pankowski of Hammond was this week's lucky recipient. David and a guest of his choice get to go to Chicago and cheer on our Blackhawks courtesy of their neighborhood Smith Chevy.

General manger Cyndy Springer says, “I think it's a great program. We constantly get customers in here that are very excited about not only the Blackhawks tickets, but the chance to win a Chevy Cruze.”

Springer enjoys the program every year and loves the excitement it brings to the dealership.

The Chevy Cruze is an upgrade from the previous Chevy Cobalt models. The Cruze is bigger with added luxury. The main appeal of the Cruze is the excellent gas mileage. It can get up to 46 MPG on the highway, which will come in handy as these gas prices keep going up. The Cruze also has a five star safety rating, and is a great family sedan.

The drawing will be taking place for the next two months for the Blackhawks tickets, but the final drawing for the Cruze will be May 1. The participating dealerships besides Smith Chevy of Hammond are: Arnell Chevy, Christenson Chevy, Harbor Chevy, Smith Chevy of Lowell, Mike Anderson Chevy, Team Chevy, and Wiers Chevy. You can still enter for your chance to win by visiting nwitimes.com/app/adspec/win_a_cruze/. Your last chance to enter is at 5pm on April 26, and each person is allowed one entry.
