First meeting of new year
The 2013 Board of Directors for the Golden Times will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Times office. Members for 2013 are Rosemary Block, president; Mary Ann Andress, vice president; Barbara Starr, secretary; Will Richards, treasurer; and Virginia Brach, Berdie Chiluski, Carolyn Dykiel, Louis Ivezich, Barbara Jacobs, Connie Matras, Darlene Michau, Richard Rucoba, Vicky St. Myers, Anthony Swyters, George Walker.

Daytime events for Golden Times members open for reservations:
• Feb. 12, The "Nite Club at Noon Mardi Gras" at Diplomat West in Elmhurst, Ill. $52
• April 11, "Divas of Yesteryear" at the Lexington House, Hickory Hills, Ill. $51
• May 1, "Tommy Guns Garage" in Chicago. $59
