General meeting planned

A general meeting of the membership of the Golden Times will take place at the Lake County Public Library, 1001 Lincoln Highway, Schererville at 1 p.m. April 10. Magician Norman Basile will perform and refreshments will be served. Members and nonmembers are invited.

Buy tickets for spring gala

The spring gala will be held April 24. An afternoon dinner dance will be held at the Halls of St. George, 905 E. Joliet St., Schererville. Doors open at 11 a.m., meal served at noon. Dance to the music of the Dick Elliot Orchestra until 4 p.m. Tickets cost $20 and are available at First Merchants Bank, 1720 45th St., Munster. Join trip to Washington, D.C.

A tour of Washington, D.C. is set for May 15-20. The trip will include six days, five nights, eight meals, transportation and many tours for $479. A $75 deposit is due when reserving. Iowa trip is slated

A trip to the Isle of Capri in Bettendorf, Iowa, will be June 23 to 25. The three-day, two-night trip will include a river cruise with lunch buffet, gaming at the casinos and more. Transportation, two breakfasts and a lunch buffet are included in $213 price. To reserve, call Barb Jacobs, (219) 844-1090.
