Luncheon set for Nov. 14

Tickets are still available for the annual Golden Times Fellowship luncheon at Teibel's Restaurant, U.S. 41 and U.S. 30, Highland on Nov. 14. Doors open at 11 a.m., with a lunch of chicken or sirloin tips served at noon. Entertainment by Paul Vogrin with his musical chalk talk. Cost is $20. Dick Contino tickets on sale

Reservations are still open for the Nov. 14 Dick Contino Show at the Sabre Room in Hickory Hills. Price of $54 also includes dinner and transportation. Bus leaves Staples at 10:15 a.m. To reserve, call Barb Jacobs at (219) 844-1090.

Reserve tickets for play

On Dec. 9, Golden Times will host a trip to the Memorial Opera House in Valparaiso to view the performance of "Thoroughly Modern Millie", and have lunch at Strongbow Inn. The price is $52, and includes bus transportation. The bus will leave Staples in the Calumet Avenue Mall in Munster at 10:15 a.m. Call Barb Jacobs at (219) 844-1090 to reserve.

New Year's dance planned

The annual New Year's Eve dance will be held at Villa Cesare in Schererville. Doors open at 10:45 a.m., dinner served at 11:45 a.m. Dance to the music of the Dick Elliott orchestra from 1 to 4 p.m. The New Year will be toasted at 3 p.m. with champagne and favors at every table. Tickets, which also include two complimentary drinks, cost $30 and are available at the Citizens Bank on 45th St. in Munster. Call Barbara Starr at (219) 552-9518 for info.

Golden Times events are for members only. Members must be 55 years of age or older. To join the organization, submit name, address, date of birth and phone number to Connie Matras, 2850 Norman St., Highland, IN 46322. Include your check for $5 per person, payable to Golden Times.
