ST. JOHN | The Lake Central School Board on Monday approved the lease of eight portable classrooms to cope with the growing student population while the high school renovation/expansion project is finished.
The board agreed to lease eight classrooms for five years, at a monthly rate of $9,768.20.
The district also will pay $50,340 for set-up and other costs and provide the foundations and utility infrastructure.
Also at Monday's meeting, the board accepted a $250 donation to Clark Middle School from Standard Bank, which is to be used as the school sees fit.
