A yoga class will be offered at 7 p.m. Monday at the Lake County Public Library, 1919 W. 81st Ave., Merrillville.

Anyone attending the class should wear comfortable clothes and bring a mat.

City plans end of year party; tickets on sale

Beginning Monday, pre-sale tickets to the fourth annual Grande Finale will be on sale for $5.

The event is from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 31.

The South Shore Arts, 138 S. Main St., will host Magician Jerry Herzog, who will perform at 6 and 8 p.m, and Patti Mac the B'loon, Lady who will twist balloon creations.

The Crown Point Civic Center, 101 S. East St. will have a dance party with Dora the Explorer, Boots and Diego at 7 p.m.

Tigers hosting soccer tryouts at fitness center

Indiana Tigers Soccer Club is holding tryouts for rising U8-U13 players interested in joining travel teams. The U8 tryouts will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Nov. 12 and Dec. 3; U10 tryouts will be from 5 to 5:45 p.m. Nov. 13 and Dec. 4; U11 tryouts will be from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 13 and Dec. 4; U12 tryouts will be from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Nov. 11 and Dec. 2; and U13 tryouts will be from 6:15 to 7 p.m. Nov. 11 and Dec. 2 . All tryouts will be at Crown Point Health and Fitness Center, 1516 N. Main St.

Photography lovers are invited to Photo Club

Adults interested in photography are invited to the monthly Lake County Parks Department's monthly Photo Club meeting at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 in the Visitor Center at Deep River County Park, 9410 Old Lincoln Highway. Members will discuss the results of their recent photographic outings. The show-and-tell topic is "Roads and Bridges," and members are asked to bring up to four photos (8 by 10 inches or larger), and up to 10 slides or digital images to show. There are no dues or obligations to attend. Doors open at 6 p.m. for a social hour.
