CONCERT BROADCAST | Valparaiso

Valparaiso University's Christmas Concert, a festive performance that is an annual holiday event, will be broadcast on public television stations throughout the country this month as part of the ongoing celebration of the institution's 150th anniversary. Among works featured in the concert are the "Hallelujah" chorus from Handel's "Messiah," John Philip Sousa's "By the Light of the Polar Star," James MacMillan's "A Child's Prayer" and Stephen Squires' "A Scottish Carol." The concert will be broadcast by Lakeshore Public Television from Merrillville at 8 p.m. Dec. 24, by WYCC (Chicago) at 8 p.m. Dec. 25. C.S.I. CHRISTMAS | Crown Point

A live taping of "A C.S. I. Christmas" {Christians Should Investigate} will be held at 8 p.m. Dec. 24 at Southlake Christian Church, 501 Pratt St. corner of Pratt and Goldsborough streets. This will be a candle light service presented by The Highway Youth Group of the church. Admission is free.

A celebration of Christ's birth will be held at 5 p.m. Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, at Town & Country Christian Church, 7037 E. 117th Ave. The service will include carols, scripture, communion, and the presentation of gifts at the manger. All monetary and food gifts brought to the manger will be donated to local food pantries.
