Craft show | Munster
Munster Parks and Recreation will host its 22nd annual holiday arts and crafts fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 6 and 7 at Munster High School, 8808 Columbia Ave. This fair will include more than 112 exhibitors. Fine art, candles, tole painting, gourds, jewelry, wood accessories, florals - wreaths, ornaments, decorated trees, photography, woodcarving, clothing, pet items, soaps and lotions, wall decor and more will be available. Admission is free.

Cookie walk | Gary
Ross Reformed Church will have a cookie walk from 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 6 at the church, 3900 W. 41st Ave. There will be a variety of cookies for $6 a pound. There will also be breads and other homemade items. All proceeds go to missions. Crafts will also be sold.

IN FEAT | Hammond
Northwest Indiana Families for Effective Autism Treatment, IN FEAT, will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Jean Shepherd Community Center, 3031 Mahoney Drive. IN FEAT is a nonprofit support group for families and professionals interested in effective teaching and treatment of individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities. This month's meeting will be a general support group meeting.

Girl Talk | Gary
The Ross Family Doctors of Tatum Family Health Center, 1619 W. 5th Ave., are inviting all girls 9 to 17 years old to attend a Girl Talk session from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 19. There is a $5 registration fee for first time attendees. Parental/guardian consent is required. Girl Talk provides fun filled education and information.

Christmas Bazaar | Griffith
First United Methodist Church, 44th Place and Cline Avenue, will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 6. There will be a Trash and Treasure sale, a cookie walk and crafts by the Kraftee Ladies. Cookies will be sold for $7 per pound.

Holiday Bazaar | Hammond
Hammond New Harvest, 1421 173rd St., will have a holiday bazaar from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 6. They will have pierogies, homemade fudge, crafts and pictures with Santa. There will be free soup and hot chocolate.

Cookie walk | Munster
Westminster Presbyterian Church, 8955 Columbia Ave., will have its 11th annual Cookie Walk to benefit Hospice of the Calumet Area. It's from 9 to 11 a.m. Dec. 6. Baked and donated by area volunteers, holiday treats will be available for purchase at $7.50 per pound. Gourmet dog biscuits will also be for sale.

SCOUT LUNCH-O-REE | Munster
Calumet Council Boy Scouts of America will be hosting its 2008 Lunch-O-Ree on Dec. 9 at the Center for Visual & Performing Arts, 1040 Ridge Road. Chicago Cubs announcer Pat Hughes and Cubs pitcher Jeff Samardzija, of Valparaiso, will be the guest speakers. Tickets are $150 each.

Santa breakfast | Griffith
Beiriger Elementary School, 601 N. Lillian St., will host its annual Breakfast with Santa from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 6 in the school cafeteria. There will be pancakes, biscuits and gravy (courtesy of Cracker Barrel), crafts, face painting and Santa. Each grade will be raffling off a themed basket. Tickets are available at the door.

Concert | Hobart
The Rusty Pipes Community Band will perform its annual holiday concert filled with holiday classics at 3 p.m. Dec. 7 in Hobart High School Auditorium, 86 E. Eighth St. Tickets available at the door are $3 for adults. Students in grades 12 and younger are free. Admission price includes holiday treats shared with the band after the concert.
