VALPARAISO | Libertarian Party presidential candidate Bob Barr will speak at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Valparaiso University in Neils Science Center, 1610 Campus Drive East.

The talk is free and open to the public, and members of the audience will be invited to ask the candidate questions following his opening address.

Barr represented the 7th District of Georgia in the U. S. House of Representatives from 1995 to 2003 and currently practices law in Georgia.

Prior to his congressional career, Barr was appointed by President Reagan to serve as the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia, and also served as an official with the CIA.

Barr's on-campus remarks to students, faculty and the public will be followed by a Meet and Greet with the candidate at Pesto's Italian Restaurant, 3123 Calumet Ave., in Valparaiso.
