Thirteen teams from Lake and Porter counties are scheduled to participate in the Indiana Academic Super Bowl State finals at Purdue University, West Lafayette Saturday.
The event is set to take place at Loeb Playhouse from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is sponsored by the Indiana Associatioin of School Principals.
The schools will participate in several different subject areas, including science, fine arts, social studies, math, English and interdisciplinary, which includes all subjects.
Students participate in different divisions based on school size. Local schools participating are Crown Point High School, Hobart High School, Lake Central High School, Munster High School, Valparaiso High School, Andrean High School, Griffith High School, Bishop Noll Institute, Hanover Central High School, Wheeler High School, Emerson VPA, Kouts Middle/Senior High School and Morgan Township Middle/High School.
