A Hammond man was in court Saturday on charges linked to a drive-by shooting in Calumet City, police said.

Charles Washington, 21, fired four shots from a sport utility vehicle at a woman on a porch in the 400 block of Garfield Avenue on June 6, according to a news release from Calumet City police. None of the shots hit the woman, according to the release. Officers from the Illiana Regional Gang Task Force arrested Washington without incident Thursday in the 100 block of 156th Street in Calumet City, the release said.

Washington faces a charge of aggravated discharge of a firearm, according to the release. A judge set his bond at $150,000, but the Illinois Department of Corrections slapped Washington with a no-bond parole violation warrant related to previous drug charges, the release said.
