Students at Tall Oaks Christian School in Valparaiso have been learning about the first Thanksgiving and how the Native Americans shared their bounty with the needy Pilgrims. This course of study led the children to ask the question, "How can we share our bounty with others?"

Being a classical school, the students followed their thinking to the conclusion that even they could organize a way to help at least one needy family in our community. Students asked their parents to collect Turkey Points from Wise Way so that we could buy a turkey. Students brought in food each day to add to the bountiful basket for the chosen family. The day came to redeem the Turkey Points, and the students were able to upgrade to a large fresh turkey.
