LAKE DALECARLIA | A quad-level home in Lake Dalecarlia sustained major damage to its basement level in a fire Tuesday night, officials said.

The fire was reported at 6:38 p.m. in the 15300 block of Ralston Place. The Cedar Lake and Crown Point fire departments also responded.

Residents who were home at the time of the blaze were able to escape safely, Lake Dalecarlia Fire Chief Ryan Kennedy said. There were no injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
