ST. JOHN | Two men were hurt Thursday afternoon after a building they were working on collapsed.

One man was taken to St. Anthony Medical Center in Crown Point with non-life threatening injuries. The other man refused treatment, Town Manager Steve Kil said.

The men were installing a truss roof system on an under-construction commercial building near U.S. 231 and Parrish Avenue when the roof collapsed around 2 p.m., Kil said. Construction on the building has ceased until an investigation is completed, he said.
