Deep River Artists show their work
HOBART | Members of the Deep River Artists, who meet monthly in the park, are exhibiting their artwork through October in the Wood's Mill Gallery at Deep River County Park, 9410 Old Lincoln Hwy.
Those exhibiting are Denise Bildilli, of Lake Station; Darlene Bainbridge, of Schererville; Lori Doran and Josephine Miazga, both of Crown Point, and Roger Wills, of Merrillville. Watercolors, Prisma pencils, oils and acrylics are all represented, and all of the artwork is for sale.
Admission to the gallery is free, and it is open from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. daily.
The next Deep River Artists meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 27 in the meeting room of the Visitor Center at Deep River County Park. Artists enjoy demonstrations, learn new techniques, present exhibits in Wood's Mill Gallery, learn of area classes and exhibits and offer classes to members. They also meet in the park to paint together.
Artists are asked to bring to the meetings examples of their work to show and talk about - in the form of a photo or the actual artwork, if not too large.
There are no dues and no registration. For more information, call the park at (219) 947-1958.
