CALUMET CITY

American Legion Post 330 of Calumet City will conduct a memorial service at noon today. The post is located at 950 Legion Drive at Ruth Street, one block west of State Line Road. Chairs will be provided.

In the event of rain, the event will be indoors.

A light lunch will follow the ceremony.

SOUTH HOLLAND

The village's annual Memorial Day Parade will be at 11 a..m. today and end at Veterans Park, located east of South Park Avenue.

A Memorial Day ceremony in honor of veterans will be at 1 p.m. on the Little League field.

In addition, the new Little League and Softball Fields will be dedicated at 2 p.m.

THORNTON

The village's Memorial Day parade and ceremony will begin 2 p.m. today at the Thornton United Methodist Church, 712 Chicago Road.

The parade will follow Chicago Road and pass through neighborhoods before ending at the Village Hall, 115 East Margaret St.

After the parade, American Legion Post 1070 will conduct ceremonies at the Village Hall Veterans Memorial.
