MERRILLVILLE | A man armed with a small handgun robbed a Michigan City woman Sunday night at the Zoom Clean car wash in Merrillville, police said.
Police responded to the robbery at 5840 Broadway at 11:42 p.m., according to a police report.

After obtaining the items, the suspect fled the scene on foot, Snemis said.
The woman wasn't injured.
The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 30 and 35, about 6 feet tall and 180 to 200 pounds, police said. He has short dark hair and a fine moustache and was wearing a hooded sweat shirt when the robbery occurred, police said.
