Merrillville grad Eugene Wilson has agreed to a one-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to the St. Petersburg Times.
The paper said the Bucs plan to use Wilson, a former defensive back for the New England Patriots, at cornerback in nickel situations. He also could back up both safety positions.
The paper said Wilson will earn $1.8 million next season with $500,000 in guarantees.
