SCHERERVILLE | A three-vehicle crash Friday morning sent two people to the hospital, police said.
At 6:53 a.m., a 2002 Dodge Dakota heading south on Kennedy Avenue clipped a 2001 Chevrolet Express van heading north, and a GMC pickup truck following the van also crashed, police Cpl. Mark Handley said.
All three vehicles left the east side of the road near Winston Court and flipped over into a ditch, he said.
The driver of the Dakota and the driver of the van complained of pain and were taken to St. Margaret Mercy Healthcare Centers in Dyer. Schererville police would not release their names.
No tickets had been issued as of late Saturday morning and alcohol was not a factor, Handley said.
