VALPARAISO | Porter and VNA Hospice of Porter County will host Hospice Foundation's 15th Annual "Living with Grief" video teleconference from 12:30-3:30 p.m. April 16 at Porter's Valparaiso Hospital Campus, 814 LaPorte Ave.
This free teleconference will focus on the unique needs of children and adolescents who experience grief and the ways that professionals who work with children can support them through the grieving process.
The program and accompanying book, which was written by child and adolescent grief experts, examines the newest theories and practices, academic research and hands-on ideas for assisting children and teens through the stages of grief.
This teleconference is geared specifically for hospice professionals, educators and counselors, parents, social workers, physicians, grief counselors, funeral directors and clergy.
